Water Wars and the Future of Rivers: A Talk with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
It has now been a year since Georgia won a major victory in its water war with Florida and Alabama. On June 25, 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Georgia can continue to use Lake Lanier as a drinking water source for metro Atlanta.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2013, the Waterkeeper Alliance, a coalition of local clean water advocacy groups around the nation, will hold its annual conference at Georgia's Callaway Gardens. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is the president of the Board of Directors of the Waterkeeper Alliance. He is also the son of the late New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy. He spoke with WABE's Denis O'Hayer.
