A View Of Georgia Tech Football 100 Years Ago

Since its construction in 1913, Georgia Tech's Grant Field has undergone numerous renovations and facelifts. Just below the surface though, the century old football stadium retains its authenticity. Hidden from view lies the place where Yellow Jacket fans cheered the stadium's first game.

City Cafe's John Lemley traveled over to the Tech campus to meet with Assistant Athletic Director for Special Projects, Doug Allvine. We were there to check out the original Grant Field stands. The tour began at midfield, where we get a sense of how the current stadium compares to its 1913 counterpart.
