A man accused of holding eight women against their will in a multimillion-dollar mansion is scheduled to appear in court later today.
Kenndric Roberts is charged with false imprisonment and trafficking of persons for labor.
Authorities say the 33-year-old lured the women to his Sandy Springs house, promising either modeling jobs or some sort of financial backing.
Police became aware of the situation after receiving a 14-minute 911 call Tuesday morning. The woman who called the police said she and the other seven women were hired as dancers.
However, she repeatedly said nothing illegal was happening inside the house.
Police arrived at the scene afterwards and helped the women escape.
An investigation is ongoing.
