Fulton County Hosts Exhibit Of African-American Inventors

Feb 2, 2016

Fulton County is hosting the African-American Inventor’s Exhibit at Welcome All Park on Feb. 4.

The exhibit displays 26 inventions by several African-Americans in alphabetical order, “in order to increase awareness for African-American inventors and their contributions to the United States,” according to a press release.

“We are truly excited about the opportunity to host the African-American Inventors Exhibit at Welcome All Park,” Fulton County Parks and Recreation director Tony Phillips said, “Families and children throughout Fulton will benefit from this one-of-a-kind exhibit.”

According to the press release, the exhibit was developed to inspire others to invent and improve on existing designs.  It was also created to promote positive role models for African-American youth.

The exhibit is free to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 4.
