Ecology and Light Come Together in 'Veneers'

Jul 8, 2013

Ten years ago, former Atlanta mayor Shirley Franklin announced that a new international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson airport would be named for the late Atlanta mayor, Maynard H. Jackson.

Last year, we paid a visit to a new permanent art installation at the terminal.

The piece is called "Veneers," and it's meant to function both as art and as architecture. It’s a glass divider between two airport corridors that displays colorful interpretations of wood-grains.

Here's that visit and host John Lemley's conversation with the piece's creator, Amy Landesberg.
