Director of CDC Lab Where Anthrax Scare Happened Resigns
The Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirms that Lab Director Michael Farrell has resigned.
Farrell was in charge of the lab where more than 80 workers were potentially exposed to anthrax.
CDC spokesman Tom Skinner told WABE that Farrell resigned last night but said the agency has no further comment.
Farrell had been reassigned within the CDC last month following news of the anthrax issue.
