A metro Atlanta park has been re-named to honor a local Marine killed in a 2015 ambush.
Bells Ferry Park is now named Marine Lance Cpl. Squire "Skip" Wells Park.
Cobb County officials made that change official yesterday, according to the foundation named after Wells.
Wells, a Sprayberry High School graduate, was among the five victims in the 2015 attack at a Navy Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
When current Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price was still in Congress, he backed legislation that called for a Marietta post office to be re-named in honor of Wells.
