Charter School Amendment: The Case Against, from Valarie Wilson of the School Boards Association

Nov 1, 2012

Listen here for the extended interview.

In a series of special reports, WABE is examining the proposed charter school amendment to the state constitution.  It would set up an independent state commission, that could approve charter school applications, if parents appeal denials by their local school boards.  In the first of two conversations with leaders from each side, WABE's Denis O'Hayer spoke with Valarie Wilson, a member of the Decatur City School Board.  She is also the president of the Georgia School Boards Association.  She strongly opposes the amendment.
