Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick's Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become a celebration welcoming all who enjoy anything Irish.
In an interview with Lois Reitzes on "City Lights," Shane Stephens, Ireland's Consul General in Atlanta, shared some of the upcoming events Georgians can attend:
- The Saint Patrick's Day Parade on March 11 in Midtown
- The Daughters of Ireland in America - Women Writers on March 11 at Central Library
