Atlanta Man Overcomes The ‘Darkest Time’ Of His Mental Illness

Apr 11, 2017

When Will Reynolds was growing up – around 3rd grade – his mom noticed he seemed less happy and more anxious. She took him to different doctors and therapists, but it wasn't until he was 16 years old that he was diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder.

Reynolds remembered what those early teenage years were like with his mom, Terri Sellers, in the StoryCorps Atlanta booth.

This story was recorded in partnership with the Atlanta History Center, which hosts Atlanta's StoryCorps Booth.
